The research project examines the development of scientific approaches to the ‘image of the territory” concept. Special a ttention is g iven to the analyses o f the following aspects: o ther territories’ track record in creating image characteristics of a city; culture role in the ‘territory image’ formation and axiological approach application in researching the image of urban realm.
